Shipping to all 50 U.S. states
    • BAIRD BROTHERS DELIVERY TRUCK (large orders or material over 8’ in length within a 100 mile radius)
      - Our driver will not carry material into the house.
      - Material will be delivered to the garage only, and our driver must have safe and clear access to back box truck to the garage for unloading.
      - We recommend but do not require anyone to be at the job site to accept material, as long as the garage is unlocked and accessible. If the garage is locked, please give us the location of a key and/or lockbox combination so your material is not left outside or returned.
      - If the driveway was recently poured then we require someone to be there to carry the material from the street.
      - All material to be returned should be placed in the garage and labeled “Baird Brothers return”. We will not carry return materials out of the house.
      - NO C.O.D. deliveries

  • GROUND SHIPPING (small orders 8' and shorter in length)
    - FedEx Home Delivery, FedEx Ground (business addresses), FedEx Express Saver, UPS Ground, and UPS 3 Day Select orders normally ship in 1 business day. Ground orders placed before 12 noon EST ship same day.  Expedited methods of: FedEx Overnight, FedEx 2 Day, UPS Next Day Air, and UPS 2nd Day Air orders will ship the same day if placed before 2:00 p.m. EST.     - Delivery signature will be required on all ground shipments with over $750 in material or any expedited (FedEx Overnight, FedEx 2 Day, UPS Next Day Air, and UPS 2nd Day Air) shipment method.
    - Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. All returns must be in resalable condition.
  • COMMON CARRIER FREIGHT TRUCK (large orders or materials over 8’ in length outside of our 100 mile radius)
    The following should be considered when receiving a Freight Delivery:
    - Truck drivers are subject to a number of regulations, one of which is that they are not required to give assistance unloading. Please be prepared for this “curbside” delivery, as you are responsible for unloading the item(s) and placing them in your shop or home.
    - Some terminals have other delivery services available, such as lift gate service, for an additional cost. These services vary from terminal to terminal, so remember to ask the trucking company when they call to make delivery arrangements. You are responsible for these additional costs.
    - SHIPPING DAMAGE: We have great service from the trucking companies we deal with, however, sometimes shipping damage can occur. It is extremely important to inspect and note any damage that might be suspect on the Bill of Lading (BOL) when signing for the shipment. Damage to the packaging container or material if it has become exposed should be noted on the form the driver gives you to sign accepting delivery. These notations will allow us to make a claim for shipping damage on your behalf. Failure to do so makes it extremely difficult to make a claim. If there is shipping damage and you have noted it on the delivery form, call us at 1-800-732-1697, and we will help you get the problem resolved.
    - CUSTOMER NOTICE: PRE-HUNG DOUBLE DOORS THAT ARE SHIPPED BY FREIGHT TRUCK ARE KNOCKED-DOWN

General Warranty
  1. All items are stocked in Select Hardwoods. Natural color variation and mineral stains may occur.
  2. Defects in material or workmanship must be reported upon receipt and prior to installation! Wood products must be maintained under stable temperature and humidity conditions to remain under warranty. Prompt and proper sealing and finishing is essential to maintain wood stability.
  3. Replacement requests are subject to Baird Brothers Sawmill’s inspection and approval.
  4. Our liability shall not exceed the replacement cost of our product.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Baird Brothers products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a limited period of 30 days from the date of shipment. If products are found to be defective by manufacturer, they will be exchanged or credited to the customer's account at his option. No merchandise shall be returned without approval of Baird Brothers Sawmill, Inc. Manufacturer shall not be responsible for the improper use or misuse of its products and no other warranties or responsibilities for safety or performance are either expressed or implied. A complete limited 30-day warranty statement is available to consumers in compliance with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975.

NOTE: ALL OF BAIRD BROTHERS PRODUCTS INCLUDING MOULDINGS, DOORS, & STAIR PARTS ARE FOR INTERIOR USE AND INSTALLATION ONLY.


Return Policy
  1. Shipping charges are NOT refundable. The customer is responsible for shipping costs when receiving and returning the item(s). When returning items for credit, we recommend using a service such as FedEx or UPS so that the package(s) are traceable.
  2. Prefinished products, special order items, custom products, and pre-hung door units are NOT returnable.
  3. Return of products must be accompanied with a proof of purchase. No damaged, soiled, stained/finished, cut, or otherwise altered items will be accepted.
  4. All returns are subject to a restocking/handling charge of 15%. Goods are NOT returnable after 60 days from date of receiving material.

Terms of Sale
  1. Orders not on account must be paid in full when placed.
  2. Special Orders require payment in full and are non-returnable. Please allow 2-3 weeks for completion of special orders. (Special patterns may be over-run 10%) Additional shipping charges could apply on special orders.
  3. Orders for 'standard species' (Poplar, Red Oak, Hard Haple, Cherry, & Hickory) with 5 or more pieces the same length of a product are subject to an additional 10% for that item.
  4. Orders for 'premium species' (excluding Poplar, Red Oak, Hard Maple, Cherry, & Hickory) with 1 or more pieces the same length of a product are subject to an additional 35% for that item.
  5. All shortages in shipments received must be reported in three business days.
  6. No Baird Brothers truck C.O.D. deliveries.
  7. Do NOT expose finish-grade wood products to rain/snow while loading or unloading. Water spots will show up after job-site finishing.
  8. Do NOT subject material to extremely high, low, or fluctuating humidity. Relative humidity of 20 - 60% is ideal.
  9. Wet concrete, plaster, & drywall can transmit moisture to unfinished wood products. These can all cause swelling, joint separation, twisting, cupping, or warping of wood products.
  10. Do NOT expose unfinished wood products to excessive heat, dryness, or sudden temperature changes (such as firing up the furnace). These can all cause twisting, cupping, or warping as well.
  11. Non-standard items are not subject to return or cancellation if purchasing and/or production have been initialized.

Privacy

Baird Brothers is committed to protecting your privacy and will not use unethical promotional methods. Customer data that is collected is used to contact the customer to resolve disputes, answer questions, subscribe to our email newsletter, or provide additional information that the customer originally requested from the company. Baird Brothers does not sell, or rent, its customer information to third parties.


Moulding Warranty
  • ALL OF BAIRD BROTHERS MOULDINGS ARE FOR INTERIOR USE AND INSTALLATION ONLY
  • Baird Brothers products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a limited period of 30 days from the date of shipment. If products are found to be defective by manufacturer, they will be exchanged or credited to the customer's account at his option. No merchandise shall be returned without approval of Baird Brothers Sawmill, Inc.
  • Mouldings are stocked in Poplar, Oak, Maple, and Cherry. Ash, Hickory, Walnut, and other select hardwoods are available by special order. Custom mouldings are available from Baird Brothers Sawmill, Inc. Pricing and lead times are quoted per job.

Interior Door Warranty
  1. One year limited warranty on manufacturing defects.
  2. Baird Brothers responsibility under this warranty is limited to repairing or at our option replacing any product found to be defective due to manufacturing or material defects.
  3. Baird Brothers liability shall not exceed the replacement cost of our product. WE WILL NOT PAY FOR LABOR OR FINISHING CHARGES TO REPLACE ANY PRODUCT THAT IS DEFECTIVE.
  4. Natural variations in the wood color or grain pattern are not considered defects.
  5. Doors must be sealed all "SIX" sides or any warranty claims will be voided.
  6. Alteration of the Door in any way (Cutting the top or sides down) Voids any warranty.
  7. Door slabs should be stored flat and sealed as soon as possible.
  8. Panel shrinkage is normal and is not a defect.
  9. Baird Brothers doors are INTERIOR and should NOT be use in any exterior application.
  10. Warpage problems usually are due to the conditions in the home and a heating and cooling season will eliminate them. If high humidity is present you will need to run a dehumidifier.
  11. Warpage of 1/4" or less across any plane is an industry standard and is not considered a defect.
  12. We reserve the right to change prices and make design modifications without notice.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

  • PRE-HUNG DOUBLE DOORS THAT ARE SHIPPED BY COMMON CARRIER FREIGHT TRUCK ARE KNOCKED-DOWN
  • Any door that is reduced in height or width or reduced in height or width in the field voids all manufacturers' warranties regardless of how the finish is applied and cannot be returned for credit.

Care & Finishing Instructions for Interior Doors & Pre-Hung Units
  1. Doors must be transported in a clean vehicle and under cover in wet weather. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL VOID THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY AND THE DOOR CANNOT BE RETURNED FOR CREDIT.
  2. Deliver door(s) to building site after plaster or cement is dry.
  3. Handle all doors with clean gloves and equipment.
  4. Avoid dragging doors across one another or across other surfaces.
  5. Store flat on a level surface in a dry, well-ventilated area; avoid stacking on end. (Door slabs only.)
  6. Cover doors to keep clean; allow air circulation.
  7. Avoid subjecting doors to abnormal heat, extreme dryness, humid conditions or sudden changes in climate. They should be conditioned to average prevailing relative humidity of the locality prior to hanging.
  8. If doors are to be stored on the job site for more than a week; the entire door including the top and bottom edges, must be sealed.
  9. Pre-hung doors should be stored standing up, but raised off any concrete floor, cover and seal... same as above.
  10. Surface should be clean and dry. All doors are mill-finished and require finish sanding at job site.
  11. Clean doors thoroughly after sanding to remove all dust or foreign material. (Small amounts of grease or oil can be wiped clean with mineral spirits.)
  12. Make sure all surfaces are sealed and finished, including the top, bottom and side edges of stiles and rails. Incomplete finishing will increase the probability of warpage or twisting.

Stair Parts
  • ALL OF BAIRD BROTHERS STAIR PARTS ARE FOR INTERIOR USE AND INSTALLATION ONLY
  • Baird Brothers products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a limited period of 30 days from the date of shipment. If products are found to be defective by manufacturer, they will be exchanged or credited to the customer's account at his option. No merchandise shall be returned without approval of Baird Brothers Sawmill, Inc.

    SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS
    Cherry and some Maple handrail fittings are non-stock. Hickory, Ash, and Walnut handrail fittings are available special order. Maple and Cherry stair treads, handrails, balusters, and newels may be in stock, depending on design. Please call for availability. Non-stock items require two to four weeks lead-time. Hickory, Ash, and Walnut handrail, balusters, and newels are available made to order. Custom turnings are available from Baird Brothers Sawmill, Inc. Pricing and lead times are quoted per job.
