1. Should I specify UPS or FedEx Freight?
Generally speaking, UPS is best used with small orders, with shipping charges based upon a combination of package size, destination, and weight. UPS Ground and 3 Day Select orders normally ship in 1 to 2 business days. UPS Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air orders will ship the same day if placed before 2:00 p.m. eastern time. Since many of our products are linear in nature ( you buy them by length) , it is important to note that package length can have a significant impact on your shipping charges. For example, if you need a total of 8 ft. of an item, your UPS charges will be substantially higher to ship an 8 ft. package rather than a package under 5 ft in length. Order the lengths you actually need! If you can use two 4 ft pieces rather than a single 8 ft piece, you can reduce your shipping costs! Remember, maximum UPS package length is 8ft.
2. I need materials longer in length than 8 ft. How is that shipped?
Long lengths or large quantities of material (Doors, Hardwood Flooring, Stair components) are best shipped by Common Carrier/motor freight. These orders are wrapped, boxed, or secured to a pallet to provide the best protection in transit. Shipping expense is determined by a combination of weight and distance and these shipments are sent COD (except NYC). In most cases, you have the option of delivery to your address or a savings can be realized if you can pick up your order at the carrier’s terminal. When you place an online order for motor freight shipment, Baird Brothers will contact you with a shipping estimate for you approval before processing the order.
3. Can I place an order for pick up at Baird Brothers store?

4. Is local delivery available?
Yes. We deliver within a 100 mile radius of our Plant. Simply select “Baird Bros. Truck” when you complete your order. We will contact you to arrange delivery date. Depending on amount of your order, a delivery charge may apply.
